This script calculates the stresses in a screw due to the combined effects of torque and bending. In the case of a screw supported between two bearings the script calculates the shear and bending stress at intervals of 1mm and returns the maximum value found.

For a cantilevered screw enter the length from support to free end in the "Bearing Centres" text box.

For a solid shaft enter 0 in the "Centre Tube ID" text box.
